The AI SEO Tools Directory is a reference index. Each entry follows the same fixed schema: index score, entry price, engine coverage, and a verification date, so any two tools can be compared on the same fields.
How entries are built
Every listing uses the same structure, and every figure has a verification date. The index records changes in the directory notes so you can see what moved and when.
The index does not run on staff reviews or hands-on trials of every plan tier. It is a maintained record, built from vendor documentation, published pricing pages, and, where accounts are available, direct testing of the product. The verification rotation
Listings do not sit static once published. The directory runs on a fixed schedule:
- Pricing: checked monthly against the vendor’s own pricing page, since this is the field most likely to move without notice.
- Features and engine coverage: checked quarterly, covering which AI engines a tool tracks and what its plan tiers actually include.
- Off-cycle updates: a vendor change large enough to move a graded field, a new plan tier, a dropped engine, triggers an immediate re-score outside the normal rotation.
Every entry’s “Updated” date reflects its most recent verification pass, not the date the page was first written. When a figure changes, the old number does not simply disappear. The change gets a line in the directory notes so readers can see what moved and when.
Corrections
An error on this index gets treated like any other record: corrected, dated, and logged. Every entry price is re-checked monthly and every engine and feature claim each quarter, so a wrong price, a missing engine, or a stale feature claim is caught on the next verification pass, fixed, and given a line in the directory notes.
